Grégoire Lière is a French born, Sydney based cinematographer.
He studied Cinematography at AFTRS (Australian Film and Television Radio School) in 2012, where he was offered a yearlong exchange at the École Nationale Supérieure Louis Lumière in Paris, France. He has since continued his career shooting short films, music videos, commercials and documentaries.
Grégoire won Best Cinematography at the Clipped Music Video Festival for his work on “The End” by the DMAs directed by W.A.M. Bleakley as well as at the Rome Web Awards for his work on web series “Jade of Death” directed by Erin Lenore Good, which has over 3.5 million views on YouTube.
Two short films he photographed premiered at SXSW Film Festival in 2018 and 2019 - “Asian Girls” directed by Hyun Lee and “Snare” directed by Madeleine Gottlieb, which continued its run at Tribeca Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival, Palm Springs Short Film Festival and more recently at the Dendy Awards for Australia Short Films at Sydney Film Festival.
Short film “Catlle” directed by Kerinne Jenkins screened at Flickerfest in 2019 (Academy qualifying).
